Join our team! We are looking for a Pharmacy Technician to join our professional and positive work environment. Previous experience working in healthcare is beneficial, but we’ll train someone with the right attitude. No 3rd shifts, holidays or on-call.

Pharmacy Technician Job Duties:

  • Works as part of a team in a healthcare environment that focuses on assisting and helping patients achieve their goals
  • Greets patients in person and over the phone; answers questions; refers inquiries to the pharmacist as needed
  • Maintains pharmacy inventory by checking pharmaceutical stock to determine inventory level, removes outdated drugs
  • Calculates basic math equations to bill insurance claims
  • Communicates clearly and concisely with patients, co-workers and medical staff
  • Organizes medications for pharmacists to dispense by reading medication prescriptions from physicians; prepares labels; calculates quantities and submits prescriptions for billing
  • Completes daily assigned tasks to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Physical requirements include standing for most of duration of shift, some light lifting

Pharmacy Technician Skills and Qualifications: Previous pharmacy experience preferred, but willing to train a dedicated, career-oriented individual! Waverly residence a plus, due to proximity to business.

Positive attitude, strong customer service skills, organization, attention to detail, ability to effectively multi-task. Starting pay is commensurate with experience working in a healthcare setting.

Schedule:

Shifts are mostly 8AM-5PM, 8:30AM-5:30PM, 9AM-6PM, or 10AM- 7PM. On average, one out of every four Saturdays per month with a compensatory day off during the week.
