Respiratory Therapist

Starting hourly pay is $27.00; negotiable based on certification and experience in the healthcare field. Full and part-time available. First shift outpatient setting.

Job Description

Our business is growing! We are looking for a Respiratory Therapist to join our professional and positive work environment.

Hours are Mon-Fri 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, generally working every 4th Saturday. No 3rd shifts or Sundays.

You’ll be working directly with our customers and getting to know them personally. We’re a small, family-owned business so our focus is on relationship-building and providing a high level of personalized care.

Job Duties

Works as part of a team in a healthcare environment that focuses on assisting and helping patients achieve their goals.
Provides education and instruction on safe use of home medical equipment including CPAP/BIPAP, nebulizers, and oxygen.
Ensures that patients can use equipment and supplies safely and effectively. Primary patient communication is in a retail setting and by phone.
Responsible for set up documentation, patient follow up, and routine monitoring per insurance coverage.
Maintains accurate and timely documentation of clinical records.
Monitors work progress to meet monthly sales goals/targets.
Collects or picks up rejected or recalled products, including equipment rental returns.
Primary equipment knowledge will be Respiratory-focused; position will require a working knowledge of all product offerings.
Assisting customers with rentals and/or sales of all products.
Cleans, maintains, and services equipment according to prescribed methods.
Demonstrates respiratory care procedures to trainees and other health care personnel.

Skills and Qualifications

Candidate MUST have their current Iowa RCP license and be a Certified Respiratory Therapist.

Positive attitude, strong customer service skills, organization, attention to detail, ability to effectively multi-task. Starting pay is commensurate with experience working in a healthcare setting.
