Influenza and COVID-19 Test and Treat

If you have an upper respiratory illness and think it may be the flu or COVID-19, we can help. A Meyer Pharmacy trained professional can test you with a nasal swab and a pharmacist can provide treatment if you are positive and are healthy enough for medicine.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

**We cannot provide this service for all populations-Please read the exclusions at the end of this paragraph**

COST OF SERVICE: $60 (insurance not accepted; payment due at time of service)

  1. In a private room in the pharmacy, a trained staff professional will gather some health history and perform a physical assessment which includes the following measurements: blood pressure, pulse, heart rate, weight, respiratory rate and body temperature.
  2. If eligible for testing, a trained professional will perform a swab of the inside of the nostrils and use that sample to do an onsite rapid antigen test. The result should be available within 15 minutes.
  3. A pharmacist will review the test result and your health history to determine if antiviral therapy is warranted. If it is, the prescription will be prepared immediately and provided (cost of the prescription is a separate charge and will be subject to insurance copay). Treatment is not required, you may decline therapy.
  4. You will receive education and counseling on what to expect during your recovery.
